Managing Mail Menu Page

Redirections Menu Page
This menu lets you choose which type of service you require.
1. New Residential Application
Allows you to create a new redirection service for all your mail.
2. Activate a Redirection
Allows you to activate your new redirection service. Your reference and PIN numbers which were issued when the service was initially set up will be required to activate your redirection.
3. Renew a Redirection
Allows you to renew your existing redirection service. Your reference and PIN numbers which were issued when the service was initially set up will be required to renew your redirection.
Once you have selected the relevant action required please select “Go”.

Step 1 - Booking Details Page
Enter the type of redirection required, reason why the service is required and the number of people on the redirection.
To proceed with the redirection service you must read the Terms and Conditions of the service. Please check this box to confirm acceptance of the terms.

Step 2 - Customer Details Page
The Primary Customer for the redirection enters their personal details and must be over 18 years old.

Step 3 - Customer Summary Page
This page allows you to add another person if required. In the event a person under 18 is listed, the year of birth for that person will be required.
Once you are sure all details are correct click on “Next” to proceed.

Step 4 - Redirection Address Detail Page
This page allows you to enter your current address and also the address you wish your mail to be redirected to.
The address finder facility should be used to search for the correct address. Enter at least three parts of your address e.g. 22 Ringsend Road.
Then click the “Find Address” button. Some address options should appear in the box and once the correct option is selected it will automatically populate the rest of the Address fields.
If the correct address is not shown, tick the “Tick to enter the address manually” box and enter the address yourself.
An Post will not be liable for delays to mail redelivery due to incorrect addressing of mail if the Address Finder has been bypassed.
A PIN notification letter will be sent to either your current address or your new address. Please ensure to select the correct option.
Once all of the above have been entered please click next if you wish to “Next” or “Back” if you wish to change any details.

Step 5 - Redirection Dates Page
Here you enter the dates which you wish your redirection to begin and end. Please note at least 6 working days notice is required to put the service in place.
If you selected “Permanent Relocation” as your “Type of Redirection” in step 1 of this Redirection Application then the earliest start date available is displayed in the “Start Date” box. You can select any date after the earliest start date. Select the required redirection period from the “Service required for” dropdown options. The “End Date” and the “Fee” will be calculated automatically.
If you selected “Temporary Relocation” as your “Type of Redirection” in step 1 of this Redirection Application then the earliest start date available is displayed in the “Start Date” box. You can select any date after the earliest start date. Select the required redirection period from the “Service required for” dropdown options. The “End Date” will automatically default to the last possible date for the “Service required for” period, you can select any date prior to the last possible date. The “Fee” will be calculated automatically.

Step 6 - Confirmation Page
This page displays a summary of your transaction ahead of proceeding to the payment stage.
The details should match what you have entered in the previous screens.
You must also tick the box explaining that you understand that completed application forms must be signed and returned to An Post Customer Services.
Click the “Proceed to Payment” button to continue and complete the process.

Step 7 - Print and Post application form
The "Transaction Complete" page is shown when a Payment was completed successfully. This page shows details of the Redirection Service and the payment.
Please NOTE that your Redirection Service application has been submitted online only.
Your Application form is available to download as a PDF by selecting the "Open Application Form" button
We will also email you the application form PDF(If you do not receive it check your email account's Junk Mail Filter).
To finalise your application you must print the PDF of your application form now and seek the signatures of all persons listed.
Once all applicants have signed the form please post to the Mail Management Team immediately so that we can process your application and post you the PIN letter which you need to activate your Redirection Service. Our Postal address address is 'An Post Mail Management Unit, GPO, O'Connell Street Lower, Freepost, Dublin 1, D01 F5P2'.
You can only activate your Redirection Service after you receive your PIN letter. Your Redirection Service will not start until you activate it online.
The "Home" button will return you to the "Step 1 - Booking Details Page" page.
